I liked Fionna & Cake because she was older than Finn (I think 17 versus 12?) and so had more grown-up adventures so that was more fun for me. It was a nice treat for the older viewers.

Also, the idea of the Ice King writing all her adventures out in his sweaty pervy journal gives it an extra kick of enjoyable wrong.

I'd love a Fiona and Cake spinoff. Ice King can even write the show if he wants. Or Bubblegum and Marceline.

It would be a inter dimensional fanfic inception show.

She IS adorable! I haven't seen much of Adventure Time but what I have seen was delightful. I always see the genderswap stuff and think, "I should watch this..."

Seems like this show has the best fanart. (And, well, canon. You get this shit in canon; that doesn't happen TOO often.)

Fionna and Cake rolls off the tongue more nicely than Finn and Jake. And everyone likes cake.

You never know, OP. They might do a spinoff in some parallel universe or something. As for now, at least there are the comics.
