Holy overreaction, Batman! I have no idea what this comic is, but the fact that some people get to read strips early by making donations is not a conspiracy to "exclude" fans who can't (or don't want to) donate. They still get to read everything; it's just that some folks get a sneak preview because they support the comic and make sure the author can support themselves and thereby continue to produce the comic.

I follow other webcomics, and other than RL friends in the same room with me telling me stuff, I have never been spoiled for any of the comics I read. You realize that some of your alternate suggestions, like extra background info and pictures in progress, could be spoilery too, right? Read the comic, don't read it, support it, don't support it, whatever - but it's a little absurd to say that the author is ~holding the comic hostage~ when all you have to do is wait a week. Seriously. Breathe.

I agree with this.

Also, it's kind of amusing that every single thing they suggested as a possibility involves the artist doing extra work on top of the work to create the bonuses. It's like, "Go out there and do a bunch of extra work if you want to support yourself, so that you can cater specifically to me!"

AYRT

That's a really good point. And how much do you want to bet that OP would be one of the first to complain if there were any late or missed updates resulting from all the extra work that the comic author had to put in to implement any of those suggestions?

That makes me wonder if this is a troll secret.

Watch the Secret Maker throw a fit when "She's taking away from time devoted to the comic and putting too much time into the paid content, *Rage rage sellout, money grubbing blah blah*"
