When I was first stumbling about posts similar to this on tumblr I had NO CLUE in hell that they were even talking about people, it looked like a crazy scientific paper gone wrong.

I adore how EARNEST they all are to teach everyone their own personal use of the language though, like it will spread overnight and grow on the dictionary.

From this day on, my preferred nouns are qu/quen/quens/queenself, and I am properly offended that the tumblr user only used male-sounding pronouns for the royal section. >:C

I demand a section with the correct pronunciations for every set of pronouns! What shall I do in a social context from now on without the correct and complete instructions at hand, I feel lost, LOST D:

See, using a different set of pronouns I can understand. You wouldn't want to be called "it".

But I think the pronouns you use should be actually pronouncable.

How about just choosing he or she even if you think that they don't completely represent you instead of forcing people to learn and use some bullshit pronouns (if you are able to make them use the new pronouns)?

I already hated that post and now it's even worse. Blargh!

Non-binary people already have a hard enough time being taken seriously, this is just making it harder.

The more common ones (like singular-they or xe/ze or hir or ey) are fine, you know, language evolves all the time and why not use those kind of pronouns to make people more comfortable and confident in themselves? That's good, that's fine, that's more than doable.

But this "plant pronouns! deer pronouns! magical girl pronouns!" nonsense is like treating it like it's a cool trendy charm bracelet to flash for street cred (or, in this case, tumblr cred) and UGH

oh yes, i can definitely see why people who think that they're gods need their own special pronouns that no one else is allowed to use, ever! (oh, sorrrrrry, i mean people who think that dei're gods need deir own special pronouns, how rude of me.)

actually, i can see the gods from some mythologies being that petty, so sure, why not. make the myths more relatable to a new generation.

I feel like this is the future.
Personified pronouns will become big(if we survive long enough) even if some gender roles persist.

humans love to feel like special snowflakes anyway and a lot of modern culture is very focused on individuality. It'll be like a second name or something.

Finally! I can now refer to my squidself with pronouns that feel right!
