It was a Disney princess movie making fun of love at first sight and more about family, I found it very unusual in this sense.

It was almost a commentary on every other Disney princess movie ever.

I almost didn't believe they were going to go there, and when I realised they did, I was - yes, yes, yes!

I think that's why I didn't care for the movie, personally. Why can't love at first sight be just that? Why does there have to be a subversion? I don't watch Disney movies for realism.

And instead of ending up with a guy she knows for one day, she ends up with...a guy she knows for two days. Wow, big improvement. Way to go, Disney!

But she didn't end up with the second guy. That was the point. They ended the movie as friends, perhaps more in time.

And I'm speaking as someone who started a relationship with a man after knowing him two hours, been married to him for over twelve years now. So I'm as foolish in love as they come.

Aww, that is so sweet and amazing! Congratulations to the both of you!

With Anna and Kristoff though, I thought it was pretty clear that they did have feelings for each other by the end of the movie. Kristoff's kiss was supposed to break the curse, and Anna didn't second guess it. Plus there was the actual kiss at the end. They didn't end up married, but they're well beyond "just friends." That's what I meant by "ending up together."

Kissing someone is very different than agreeing to marry them. It was the 'marry the first boy you see' cliche that I thought this movie avoided.

I kissed my now-husband after knowing him two hours. I didn't marry him until over two years later. Thanks for your kind congratulations, anon.
