While I'm always glad to see artists ask for compensation they deserve, I can't help feeling that this model isn't going to work. Sure, a few supporters will pitch in, but most everyone would rather wait a week to get something for free. But what do I know.

it just takes a few ops (because if someone finds it so excruciating to wait a week i'd highly doubt they could handle leaving the comic ever).

You'd be surprised. I know a lot of people who pay for Crunchyroll rather than waiting for the episodes or looking elsewhere. Plus there are a few people who just like giving money to projects they like, although I guess that would depend on the fandom.

A bunch of people buy the Mark Watches videos, and that's literally just watching a guy watch a show.
