Whenever someone loses their temper at someone for hurting or threatening a friend or theirs. The more ill-advised/dangerous/reckless the temper-losing is, the better. Or actually, depending on the character's job/personality, losing their temper at anyone who harms someone weaker or less advantaged than themselves.

(one example that comes to mind is from that episode of The West Wing when Josh tried to throttle that lawyer who called Leo a dangerous drunk and had to be talked down by Sam, but I know I've seen lots of other examples and variations.)

This only applies to people who actually intended to hurt the person though. I don't like it when people flip out like a selfish dick at innocent people just doing their jobs beyond the bounds of reasonable human emotional frailty -- one example that really irritates me is people in a position of power threatening a doctor or police officer's job for not breaking all their emergency protocols to cater to their own sooper-speshul worry about their friend/lover/whatever because rules are for 'other people.'
