But yes, it is a bit distracting once you realise the head it a little on the small side. From certain angles in photos it's not so bad but definitely the shoulders are wide enough for it to be noticeable. Maybe Hot Toys should've done something to the body rather than the head for the new one?
And yes IMO the face looks more accurate on The Avengers Loki, even if it is a bit smooth skinned.
There's sort of a smirk on that one too but it's not especially evident. Having looked at more than just Loki though it seems Hot Toys favour neutral or stern expressions on their figures.

I think that would have been a better idea. Slim the body down and you'd have a pretty nice figure.
Too bad that favour neutral/stern expressions. I guess they're easier to make? Less facial wrinkles? Idk.
(Haha. It's been a figure learning experience for me.)
