Oh, don't even get me started on Matt. I like him, too. I don't understand all the hate circulating around about him; I mean, sure he doesn't have much character to base him off of - that's something that appeals so much to a fan. But have you seen what some people have done with characters who actually DO have content to back them up? It's more than a little hypocritical.

I mean to say that I see a lot of these secrets as unnecessary. Maybe the poster enjoys seeing the disagreeing flames or agreeing comments, or maybe the poster just wants to get their opinion out. But a lot of it can be painfully repetitive, too. I'm not talking about just today's secrets; I've kept up with all the ones that have shown up in the past. And I really believe there are topics touched in those secrets that have either a) already been discussed too many times before, or b) can easily be discussed elsewhere. (i.e. in their own journal, unless they have something against their f-list, which would suck. D:)

Also, it's not so much the amount of fandom secrets as it is the, ah, RPing secrets which I've been disappointed about. Everyone's so worked up about it, even though it's really not that big of a deal. :[ There's so much drama, sometimes I wonder why they continue to drag it out/add to it/instigate it/inflate the whole mess by posting secrets/etc. I'm not generalizing here, either; I'm sure there are plenty of sensible DN RPers out there who know just what I'm talking about it.
