Mind if I ask why? He shares many common traits with pretty much every single main shounen jump character in existence. Do you hate them, as well?

Oh, and I also wanted to ask: Do you read the manga, or stick to the anime?

I've been slightly into both the manga and the anime but as for I don't like him....eh, there's just something about him that rubs me the wrong way, really, that and I'm really a fandom person so the few places of checked this it all out they've done a lot of Tsuna. That only makes it worse.

And I'm not totally even sure what Shonen Jump has to offer anymore so I couldn't honestly tell you if I hate them or not.

Oh, I definitely understand that. Like I mentioned below, fandom can really ruin ships and characters for me. But when it comes to Reborn!... it just applies to Yamamoto. The fans of him that I've come in contact with were all batshit crazy, so I basically can't stand him unless I completely disconnect myself from the fandom and pretend it doesn't exist at all when I read the manga or watch the anime, so I can view characters objectively. And well. In the end, it's not really like everyone can like the same type of characters.

Shounen Jump = Eyeshield 21, Naruto, etc. Not saying all SJ series are alike, but most of them have dorky and "naive" main characters, or something.

Whenever I mentioned I was trying to get into Reborn! with some of my friends, they always assumed I meant I was trying to really like Tsuna or something and showed me everything. It just did not help my distaste for him.

I was never much of a Shonen Jump fan honestly XD Unless it was about Bleach, I'm all over that. TokyoPop is the way I go so....

Ahaha, yeah. He's turned into the fandom bicycle and I don't really like it myself. :I Actually, this fandom needs to chill out when it comes to the BL in general, good god.

Same here. I find it a bit difficult to understand why they absolutely loathe his mere existence unless they despise those types of characters in general, as 'talking and doing things' isn't very, you know, specific.

Maybe that's why they hate him? Because he isn't really anything new, so to speak? I know it's easy to tolerate a cliche when it isn't yet a cliche to you. But after it does, those things tend to irritate you more than the ones that came before did. *shrug*

Maybe they don't really have a reason? Who knows. Sometimes characters just don't sit well with you, but you can usually think of two or three things you dislike about them.

True enough. I know there's a lot of characters I think are absolutely annoying without much reason. But yeah, I can usually think of at least a general reason if I can't pinpoint why exactly.

Maybe the OP just dislikes him so much it would be tl;dr to write everything out? So we get an all encompassing existing and doing things. It still makes me laugh xD

I'm one of those people who generally has a hard time hating on characters unless the fandom ruins them for me. It's lame, but true. :I

It's why I'm giving them a chance to rant it all out to me, yo. While he's not my favourite, I actually am fond of Tsuna, but I also enjoy hearing about other people's views on characters I like.

I kinda do that as well. There are some characters that barely make a ping on my radar until I see the fandom reaction to then and I either realize I like the character a lot more than I thought, or that I wish they'd immediately take a long walk off a short pier. Sometimes you can't help but have such reactions, even though I don't really like to think that I might be so easily swayed for some things xD

Oh, I like Tsuna as well. I'm easily won over by characters like his. Kind of like Sora from Kingdom Hearts (whom he shares a physical resemblance to as well, I think). But yeah, it's easy to understand why some people wouldn't like characters like that, and it's always interesting to see both sides.

And it is kind of hilarious to me as well. TALKING AND DOING THINGS? How dare he?! FUCK THAT SHIT.
