I don't know the fandom or the fanart in question, so in a way I hate to say something like this without knowing all the facts, but... If you create something and become famous in one way or another, you just gotta expect it. It comes with the territory these days, you know? Personally, I'd be pretty damn thrilled to see someone doing fanart of something I've created -- whether it's totally OOC or whatever. It would mean that someone liked it enough to spend time drawing or whatever, and even if the fanwork in question wasn't something that suited my personal taste I'd still feel grateful and excited about it.

I've always felt the exact same way.

I dunno. Maybe it'd be different if it actually HAPPENED, but as it is I think I'd sort of be giddy, even if it was crap XD;
