I miss the good old days where there was very little, limited interaction between fans and the actors. I like the dismantling of the fourth wall (idk what else to call it) in theory, and admittedly there have been some great moments resulting, but in practice we're mostly represented by creepy, entitled tinhatters who make me cringe with grimy embarrassment every time I hear about their antics. No matter how little of a fandom's makeup they are they're always going to be the most vocal, visible, and memorable. They almost completely overshadow everything I love and find amazing about fandom.

Also I'm tired of struggling to disassociate a character from their actor/creator's dipshittery. I'd rather go back to not knowing anything about actors other than bland tidbits they share in tv guide interviews.

Yes, this. I pretty much go out of my way to avoid finding out anything actor/creator's real lives for the most part.

Man the less I know about an actor the happier I am, I don't mind hearing about like new projects they're doing but I do not care about their personal lives on any level. I'll just admire from afar thanks.
