The clothes thing bugs me in just about every fandom. No one owns enough clothes to never re-wear anything for an entire show's run. Maybe really wealthy women do, but when you're showing supposedly average women or men, they are not going to have that many clothes.

House sizes bug me too in a similar vein. The average person really doesn't have houses that big.

O the flip side, I love the trope in cartoon shows where characters who wear the same thing everyday are show with closets full of identical outfits.

Me too. I love seeing cartoon closets that are all the same clothes. The Simpsons is really good for that.

Shameless US is amazing at the clothes front, they even use the same clothes on different people. Also the characters that are growing grows into their clothes.

if you wanted an example of someone doing it right... Also it is my favourite show, so I keep telling people about it.

I don't really mind the house sizes because filming in a tiny set is just bad on several different levels, but the fact that the houses are often so nice and well-furnished really does bug me.

Ah yes, clothes. Never wearing outfits twice, wearing clothes they could never afford, and inappropriate clothes. Cops chasing criminal in high heels, etc.

Also, perfect hair and make-up. Like, doctors and cops working 24 hour shifts, complaining about not sleeping enough, but somehow finding the time for straighteners, curling irons and fake lashes every single morning.

One of the things I liked about Boy Meets World is how Shawn (the poor one) wore the same outfits during his high school years.
