Nah, just everything that's popular with the Migratory Slash Fandom.

Your first comment was tl;dr but thank you for putting a name to the Migratory Slash Fandom phenomenon.

I've definitely noticed that group of slashers who move from fandom to fandom with no rhyme or reason so they can ship the first two white guys together, force in their favorite relationship dynamics regardless of canon, and write the exact. same. cliches. I can even pinpoint it down to naming some names... bless their little hearts.

I just call it Ship Jumping, because it's not just slash fans who jump fandoms to the next popular thing.

True. I think I only really notice it with slash because one of the authors (and a couple of their cronies) who seems to lead the charge into new fandoms I've known and tracked through name changes since my first fandom.

YES. I have never managed to articulate that phenomenon before. It's so irritating.

Michael Bay's Transformers is popular with the "migratory slash fandom?" Really? You just wanted to get a dig in at slash and its readers and writers, didn't you?

Pretty much, yeah. :)

(I like slash, though. Just not that particular brand of slash.)
