People characterizing Watsons of all flavors as fundamentally reluctant to go on cases (as opposed to, you know, annoyed when their honeymoon gets gatecrashed), staid, disapproving and anxious about any and all strange behavior, embarrassed at Holmes's strangeness, and a Perfectly Rigid Proper Narrow-Minded Conservative Victorian Snot.

Like, when has this EVER happened. In any adaptation. Even the really unfaithful adaptations don't nonsensically derail as far as fanfic stereotypes manage to do.
