Yep! Off the top of my head (I haven't read the book recently, sorry)
- Hammond is a lot meaner/eviler, like, "Evil!Walt Disney" rather than the movie's "just misguided!Walt Disney"
- Malcolm dies (but then undies in the sequel so)
- Grant likes kids, and him and Sattler aren't A Thing (Sattler has a fiance)
- Compies (Compsognathus) are a thing in the books, but not movies; they're smaller dinosaurs, and they eat dinosaur dung making it easier to keep the park clean of giant piles of shit. They also eat people and babies.
- There's a lot more details about the dinosaurs reaching the main land, including compies, and velociraptors, I think?
- The book has two T-Rexes, an older female, and I think a younger male? One of them (or both, I don't remember) dies.
- They go a lot more into the science/math side of things, figuring out how and why the park screwed up with it came to counting dinosaurs (the computers were only there to make sure that the dinosaurs didn't escape, so as soon as they counted to the number of dinosaurs that were supposed to be there of each breed, they stopped counting, rather than counting the number of dinosaurs total in the park at any given time.)
- I think it's the boy that's a computer expert in the book.
- They go into why/how the Triceratops' are getting sick from the West Indian Lilac; the dinosaurs aren't eating them per se, but they are ingesting the plants when they ingest new gizzard stones, and that's what is making them ill.
