Prolonged or sudden exposure to loud noises can damage parts of the inner ear -- the area responsible for hearing -- such as the outer hair cells, inner hair cells and nerves in the inner ear. Damaging even one quarter of these cells can cause hearing loss."

Yeah, pretty ridiculous.

Right? I'm pretty surprised at the number of people in this thread that don't know loud noises are bad for babies. X Men does not outrank your kid's needs, OP.

This, seriously! If it doesn't outright hurt the baby, it will at least make them cry for sure.

DA, How is that ridiculous? As an adult I've seen small kids at movies that made MY ears hurt or that had scary stuff that made ME jump. I'm not saying this is true for every film, but surely this can have impact on a small child.
