It's the first few weeks that are problematic. For the first ~2 weeks after birth, babies still tend to be an a 'womb-like' state (not a professional term, just what my mother explained it to me as) - their immune system is still reeling from the baby no longer being connected to the mother via umbilical cord, and no matter how loud the mother's environment was, in-the-womb is a hell of a lot quieter than out-of-the-womb.

So after about 2 weeks or so, the baby would be fine, but yeah, first 2 weeks? I'd be worried about a newborn in the vicinity of those kinds of speakers, too.

Well yeah, I'd hope know one would take a newborn to a theater. That's dumb. Older than a month I think would be fine.
