Her little change was cute... But I have to say I missed how she was and her cute little rants about the birds, lucky animals, flowers and stuff.

But maybe I'm missing something, when did she flat out say she stopped believing in it?

Well, they don't, but she went from being a hopeless optimist that had belief in everything, to facing the harsh reality later. Her little happy bubble of a perfect world kinda got popped :s

I guess it depends how you look at it. I would figure maybe she has even a greater appreciation for it now that she fought to save it. D:

Though I can see how the perfect world became...not so perfect for her. She was a naive little thing and I think that was part of her charm.

Mmm, I don't think her appreciation would fall for it, not at all. Err, I would say the secret maker worded it a little wrong; maybe stopped with her initial beliefs instead, with that The World and everything in it could in fact be made perfect? Because she definitely still has her faith, just in a different way now.
