I can speak personally that many characters I've played receive considerably less response than some anime characters, consistently.

Thank you so much. I'm not the op, but still agree with this more than enough to merit commenting. If there is a multifandom game that primarily caters to book/movie/tv characters and the concept is nice - I'm in.
