Yeah, Trubbish are cutie-pies and I'll fight people who say otherwise.

Also, object-based designs have been around since gen 1, so I really don't get why people seem so insistent lately that a Pokémon being based on an object is inherently bad.

But I still don't like Garbodor's design. :/

While I don't like Trubbish at all, ia that dissing Pokemon designs for being stupid is ... well, stupid. How are a bunch of dragons any more creative than rubbish bags and ice creams anyway? I think all the Pokemon have their own perks <3

I like Trubbish's design better than a lot of the Gen 1 object designs. Like, most 'object' pokemon designs are just a face on a thing, but Trubbish has an angry-cute face, not a just a smiley face.

I haven't kept up on Pokemon at all, so I'm just dropping in to say hi to someone else who doesn't have a sense of smell. :) Did you lose it or were you born without it?

I lost my sense of smell when I was really little, I broke my nose and it stopped working, so I've gone almost my whole life without being able to smell anything.

I lost mine when I had an epic fever when I was younger! Yay anosmia buddies. (Actually it's more like 90% gone, but close enough... I can't tell the difference between cigarette smoke and air freshener or anything. Besides "something is in the air here")

Ha. I think not having a sense of smell would give you an edge, there. But IA that trubbish is cute. I think there are some in-game trainers that like it too. The game always has little shout-outs to those of us that love the underloved Pokemon, like in one where there's a little park that you can run around with your Pokemon, but only if they're CUTE, there's a guy standing outside like "How dare they tell me Gyarados isn't cute?" I vaguely remember fighting a Lass, I think, that had Trubbishes and thought they were cute, but I might be making that up.

When I was a kid my favourite Pokémon was Muk, so I feel you. Everyone was fawning over Charizard or Mewtwo but I loved the shit out of this big ol' pile of poo.

(And I'm baffled by people who hate object-based Pokemon and then go "GEN 1 WAS SO MUCH BETTER BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS"--man, we had Voltorb and Electrode, stfu)

Anyway I have a Trubbish (well, a Garbodor now) in my Black game and he's my buddy. He helped me sweep the Dragon-type gym leader almost by himself.
