And I kinda hate pushing towards Harry/Hermione because that was ONE REALLY GOOD EXAMPLE of how a boy and girl could be really close friends without it ever having to be romantic. It was platonic and beautiful.

YES. I literally want to slap the fans who read this and assumed that meant JKR now thinks Hermione should end up with Harry. NO. She's not a fucking prize. She doesn't HAVE to end up with anyone. Harry never ever saw her as anything more than a sister, EVER. Harmonians are delusional. I can see that Ron and Hermione might've had problems (his self-esteem issues worked my nerves and I have a lot in common with Hermione's personality) and maybe they would've left each other. But that doesn't mean to automatically gets awarded to Harry. They are FRIENDS. That is ALL--and as you say that's beautiful. And frankly she is a better friend than Ron! (I don't know if I could've forgiven Ron that quickly for walking out on them--as I say, Hr's personality and mine are quite similar!)
