Interestingly, I don't remember Dragonlance having goblins in it at all. And that was my favourite fantasy series for years.

I remember Caramon's line "I don't consider myself a murderer. Goblins don't count." (That was after he hit them in the head too hard, but characters were decapitating goblins earlier for, basically, being in the way.)

Dragonlance was notable among the TSR worlds in that it lacked orcs. They had goblins. Fewmaster/Highlord Toede was one, IIRC.
