Re: Stupidest Thing You've Ever Hear Out of a Doctor

Haven't really had it happen to me, but I've heard some horror stories. So many on notalwaysworking.com - doctors and nurses ignoring major symptoms, being disrespectful, not listening to what a patient is saying...things like giving people medicine they are ALLERGIC to because they can't be arsed to read their sheet, insisting that women who say they are virgins/haven't had sex in months or years are pregnant and acting like that's the only reason women ever go to the gyn, physically forcing a girl's boyfriend out of the room to give her a shot even though she NEEDED him there because of a needle phobia and then she passed out...that's not even the worst of it. I don't remember them all.

I also remember talking to someone online a few years ago who had some pretty major reproductive system issues that caused them a lot of pain/inconvenience/discomfort/combination of the above, and was 10000% sure she didn't want kids, but no doctor would give her a hysterectomy because "she might change her mind one day!!!11!" which just. wtf
