I like the idea of Lucy Liu and Natalie Dormer being slashy together, but not as these particular characters. Something about it squicks me.

I ship Joan/Moriarty so hard.

The painting did me in. The obsession and work that showed Joan as beautiful and larger than life, and all the posturing after.

I watched the first couple episodes of this show, and it didn't really grab me. Natalie Dormer is amazing and gorgeous, though, and I'm totally considering trying to watch it again just so I can ship these two.

I enjoy it a lot more now than the first couple episodes, for what that's worth.

It took almost half the first season for the show to find its legs, imo.

Maybe I will try again, then. I have so many shows that I've taken to only trying a few episodes to see if I like it. That didn't work for Shield, though, so maybe I should try more Elementary. I'm not a huge Sherlock person in general (give me Poirot any day), but I like the idea of Watson as a woman and I love both these actresses.

I'm the opposite. I love both actresses, but I can't really warm up to the show.

Oh man, I have the biggest crush on Lucy (And Natalie is quite beautiful too, especially in this show) and enjoy the show, but I don't think I could ship the characters.

... Now would it be hot? YES! But... Idk.

(Now I've made myself sad because they would be a gorgeous couple.)

I didn't find Natalie Dormer very pretty at all until her most recent appearance on Elementary, and then all of a sudden I was like "Ohh...wow." It was funny to me.

IMO she's pretty but way more attractive in Elementary than anything else (That I've seen her in, anyway). Whoever is doing her hair, makeup and wardrobe is doing a fantastic job!

To be fair I haven't seen her in much, but for me it was also partly her posture and mannerisms. It was the moment that she was sitting on that couch reading the newspaper that I noticed it.

Mannerisms are a big part of attractiveness for me too. I often have a crush on one character but definitely not on the actor's other roles.

Related, I realized a while back that movement in general is a huge factor in attraction for me. If I don't see a person move, for example if I've only seen a still photo of an actor rather than a movie or interview, I really can't find them that attractive. Aesthetically nice, but not actually attractive. I need to see them be alive.

I was that way with Katherine Moennig. I'd seen photos of her but then I decided to check out The L Word and saw the way she moved when she was playing Shane and I was mesmerized.

Ahhh Shane... I found her the most attractive of female characters until I saw Frankie on Lip Service. Again, movement and facial expressions.

The femslash writes itself with this two, tbh.

But lol I don't ship it. I don't think Moriarty is really capable of love.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-11 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
Shipping doesn't have to be about love. Obsession would work here beautifully.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-11 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
I would love or them to eufkc all over the place likeall the time oh god baby yeah give it the face.
