I got a raise today and we're suppose to be getting snow/sleet/ice starting early tomorrow morning and lasting until Thursday afternoon so hey, vacation!

My sister's coming to visit me in three weeks. I'm done with my current internship in two weeks (its been a sucky experience mostly so I'm glad to be done).

That sounds like a fun visit!

I did not actually faint or cry or vomit during my job interview today! Pretty sure I still blew it, but not as badly as I could have!

I discovered that my old Virgin Mobile phone number was disconnected and I can't get a pay as you go plan anymore so I'd have to get a new provider and a new phone, which sucked...

...But then I went out to look at Tracfones and get some groceries at Target, picked up a $15 phone and a $20 card plus some other stuff... got to the checkout, and the total was $38. Turned out the phone was on sale for $5. So basically for $5 more than it would have cost to get my Virgin Mobile phone turned on again with a plan that was 3x what I was paying before, I've got a newer phone with roughly the same plan. :D

That is pretty sweet.

I had an amazing weekend in Chicago with one of my zoology classes. We visited the Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium and it was paid for by the department. I'm exhausted as fuck (Mondays are super busy class days too), but it was great.

I am so jealous. I can't wait until I can take my 11 year old to the Chicago museums. She will love them.

My internet connection was repaired yesterday after being out since Thursday 'cause the AT&T guys fucked up our connection while they were setting up our neighbor's!

We found an old book on how to write essays and letters, dated to the independence era!

My mom was cleaning out my grandmother's drawers when she found this! I'm straight up keeping this, no matter what everyone says!

Also, the writing is Jawi, not Arabic. Show this to an Arabian and he would say it's full of gibberish. Also, I can read it, though I'm a little rusty at it.

How cool!

One of my treasured finds happened when I was reading bound copies of the magazine Punch from the Victorian era and found a ticket to an event that someone had inserted into the magazine. I totally snagged it and still have it. Super cool.

It's my birthday on the weekend and this year me and my friend are going to go see Wicked, so that should be good fun.

Sweet! I got a raise too and the baby slept all night last night!!!!! Also, she's randomly saying Mama (also blah blah blah, but we take what we can get).

There are a few things that are looking good. The biggest one is that someone wants to give my family a house. Just waiting for the paperwork now.

I just wanted to say that somewhere. I've been holding that secret for two months!

I was working a temporary job since the new year and then Friday they decided they wanted me permanently. So there's that.

My new glasses finally got here! AWESOMENESS!
Also, in a week or at most two I'll be debt free! Hurray!
And if I play my cards right, I'll even be able to visit my "it's too new to be official guy" next Thursday!
