"Too bad this film never had any sequels." *coughcough*

What sequels do you pretend never happened, F!S? Ones that never come close to the glory of the original/s and in your opinion taints the franchise? Be as petty as you like.

For me, there were two and only two Terminator films.

There was one Highlander movie, and then they made a TV show, and then they made another movie. That is ALL.

I loved that one Land Before Time movie, and I'm so glad they didn't ruin it with 800 straight-to-video sequels.

There are only two Stargate series. No one had the hairbrained idea of combining the Stargate concept with Battlestar Galactica. And SG1 had only 8 seasons and Atlantis had 3.

There is no Clone Wars movie. There was only 6 movies and then the tv series.

There were no Dune movies. There is only the tv miniseries and its sequel.

The only Hulk that has ever been in a live action movie in the 2000s is the one seen in Avengers. Marvel never made any other movies featuring him.

There has never been a film or miniseries adaptation of the Earthsea trilogy.

Not a thing that happened.

Nope.

I actually LOVED Terminator 3, especially the ending because I'm a sadist.

But I uh... yeah, never going to see the fourth one. As far as I'm concerned, doesn't exist.

Also I am steadily growing to believe that's going to be the case with ST:ID, if I ever actually get around to seeing it.

Good thing George Lucas only made three Star Wars films.

Oh, and Disney doesn't milk the cash cow by creating terribad sequels. An uncommon show of restraint.

The Alien films stop at two.

The Matrix is a stand-alone film.

Star Wars is only the original trilogy+some of the cartoons.

The X-Men franchise only had two movies before First Class.

The Hulk only had one film prior to being in the Avengers(but to be honest I can give or take TIH too).

Highlander only has two movies, and oddly the second one is called 'Highlander 3'.

Disney films never have sequels, ever(okay some of them I'll give a pass).

I sure am glad there was only one Transformers movie! It would have really sucked if they'd kept on making plotless crap starring Shia LeBoof where all the robot characters get like thirty seconds of screen time each and then get killed pointlessly. Man, that would have been such a tragedy!

Final Fantasy VII

(Anonymous) 2014-02-11 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
Final Fantasy VII has no sequels OR prequels. It is a standalone game.

JJ Abrams only made one Star Trek movie and he never directed any Star Wars sequels

*yes, I know the sequels haven't been made yet, but come on... with Abrams at the helm, they're going to suck ass.*

Two Terminator movies and only two in the Aliens franchise. I have a soft spot for the AvP movies even though they weren't that good.

Also I can't help loving the original Bring It On but those sequels are godawful.

There are others but these come immediately to mind.

Only the original 1963 Pink Panther with Peter Sellers exists, not the sequels. The later movies with Roberto Benigni and Steve Martin are travesties and do not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence.

It's a shame Legend of Korra ended after about eight episodes, it was going in really interesting directions.

Man, the Star Trek Enterprise season finale was really neat, with the whole Terra Prime stuff!

I wonder what would happen if Star Trek ever did an episode where they reached warp 10? ...Nah, not possible.

After Avatar: The Last Airbender, there was some comics then Legend of Korra.

No, really, that's it.

I hope there's a good movie one day, but I just don't think that's going to happen. *le sigh*

Sequels? I'd be happy with just one The Dark is Rising movie, but apparently it's never going to happen.
