I'm looking into lessons. One of the places I went to didn't sell or teach banjo, but they knew a guy who knew a guy, and took my name and number to see if they could get me in contact with him. I don't know yet if they are the "use our equipment and learn" type lessons or "bring your instrument and a number 2 pencil" type (which I have seen ads for and always confuses me).

Good luck, then! I love the banjo. I had one for years, but never did anything with it, it just hung on the wall and looked neat.

All I can think about the number 2 pencil is standardized testing, but there also might be a fingering sheet you're given.
