I liked the Grimm Brothers' "The Juniper Tree" and "The Robber Bridegroom." I was a morbid little kid.

I never really got into Grimm Brothers fairy tales until I got older. I expect because I didn't have any of those books around. :(

I have to love the Juniper Tree because I was traumatized for at least a week by it and it's probably the reason I have a bizarre fear of accidental cannibalism (along with the "albatross" logic puzzle. My dad told me both. My dad was morbid.)
