Oh my gosh you just reminded me of a book I had as a kid! It was an old book of Native American fairy tales when I was a kid. I remember a story about why red birds are red. D::::: Woah. You just opened up a whole new cache of memories.

This thread has me all nostalgic for my childhood.

I'm so lucky my mother was a teacher & loved books. That's probably the reason I love writing my own stories as an adult.
