Re: What country makes the best detectives in the world?

Talking Quality over Quantity some of the best detectives come from all over the multiverse:

AM Produced Sam Vimes
UK Produced Sherlock Holmes
USA Produced Batman
France Produced Dupin
Canada Produced William Murdoch
Belgium Produced Hercule Poirot
Italy Produced Leonardo Da Vinci (Da Vinci's Demons. Why did no one else watch this show?!)

But overall (Quality and quantity) winner would be the USA (and I say this as a brit)

Batman
Harry Dresden
Philip Marlow
Sam Spade (Not so great at detecting, true, but uses guile and cunning to have people just reveal themselves and their role in the mystery so I think he counts)
The Continental Op
Columbo
Cole Phelps
Ed Exley
Rick Deckard (The third san fransiscian in the list... strange)
Indiana Jones (Counts I think)
Jessica Jones
Jamie Maddrox
Mystery Inc (Mostly Fred and Velma to be fair)

The list goes on.
