jk, but seriously the films are so different from the books at this point that I don't even care if they change the ending; it's already a different story imo but the fandom meltdown would be awesome: on one hand 'yissss my babies live' but on the other hand 'peter jackson what have u done u horrible sell-out tolkien is rolling in his grave'
