Re: Clothing fetishes?

I actually liked Sky Captain, for reasons of cheese and nostalgia, but I will admit Frankie was also a significant consideration. Basically Angelina Jolie as Nick Fury. What's not to love?

I usually like the pulp-y 30's "two-fisted tales" type stuff it was based on. I just could not get into any of the characters (Other than Cook and Dex) enough to care about any of the peril. I liked the dog-fighting at the beginning, I liked the robot stuff, some of the shots were pretty cool, and for the full 10-15 mins where Frankie turns up it was awesome, but for vast stretches of the film I was just like "I don't care". Oh, and the 'love interest bickering' was just the worst.

All just my opinion, but the film needed more Dex, More Frankie, More giant robots, and dogfights, and less "Charming" and "witty" chatter from the two leads (Who I felt had no chemistry and no reason for me to want them to survive other than "Well they are the good guys").
