HP fandom has experienced a renaissance thanks to movies based on the spin-off books.

The Homestuck fandom has gotten over the ending of the comic, and now the fans that have kids are preparing to pass it on to the next generation, much like the original Trekkies did with their children. Homestuck will live forever.

Marvel is consistently churning out both excellent films and mediocre ones, although there's still a lot of debate over which are which. The comics are pandering less and less to the 30-year-old neckbeard fanboy demographic, because the movies got a lot more people interested comics and the higher-ups have realized that other people like superheroes too.

Meanwhile, DC's attempt to replicate the success of the Avengers with a movieverse of its own has failed miserably, and the entire fandom has sworn never to speak of it again. The New 52 still sucks ass.

The SPN tinhatters are still batfuck insane.
