Exactly this. I've vowed to myself if I ever get lucky enough to have a published series, to never go back and make potentially fandom-stirring comments about it ten years down the line. I know her comments were taken out of context, but on some level it'd be easy to assume that that would happen, considering how intense the shipper wars have been about all of this. I'm distantly in the Harry Potter fandom, like way on the sidelines, without actively shipping any of the trio with each other, but I'm still shaking my head at every aspect of this.
