Where to find a writing buddy?

Essentially I'm looking for an accountability and motivation buddy. We would check in often or at least once a week with writing goals to keep each other in check, and hopefully write to motivate and inspire. Talk about writing and help each other with bumps in the road, etc. Does anything like this exist or is just luck to find a friend that would do this type of thing?

I'd be your writing buddy if you wanted! I love writing buddies!

I've found some through NaNoWriMo and I'm having fun with the writing community that someone from here just started up here on Dreamwidth, write-away, and you might be able to ask around there. Others that I've found have been pure luck, like the friend I made on OKC who happened to like writing.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe like the Reference post we could have one post and people reply if they'd like a writing buddy, with info like what they're looking for in a buddy and what kind of writing they're working on?

~unicornherds, who is too lazy to sign in and has been lurking in the write-away comm but would definitely unlurk for a writing buddy

Seconding to please join write-away! And I love writing buddies! My rl buddy moved away and isn't great at keeping in touch, so I don't really have one right now either. We're trying to get the dreamwidth community going though.
