Pretty much. Moffat's already said that he finds the idea of asexuality boring, so I sincerely doubt that in his mind Sherlock is asexual (even if we haven't actually seen a sexual side of him yet).

TBF, even though Moffat isn't the sharpest pencil in the drawer for writing skills, he's not wrong; you can't get much conflict mileage out of "unresolved sexual tension" (which is where 99% of fiction goes by default, for good or for ill) when there is no tension to begin with.

Well, he's not the only master of SherlockBBC. I'm sure other members of the production team will stop him from giving Sherlock a lover. I loled at the scenein Season3 in the hospital. It was like "calm down, fans, it's not what you think."
