I'm looking for an exploratory puzzle game something akin to Cryptic Keep or realMyst to play with my little sister. We're playing Kairo currently but she wants something with a little more scenery and backstory, something creepy would not go amiss.

I'm considering Dream but my sister doesn't want to try it until it is completed.

Well if you like realMyst you can always pick up Riven on steam for $6, which is a direct sequel to Myst, has good atmosphere and scenery shots, has some eerie moments too I(or any of the sequels to Myst, there are at least four after Myst). I also heard Dear Esther is a pretty decent game but I'm not sure if that has puzzle elements to it. Based on what you are looking for (exploratory puzzle games), that's all I can really think of that don't immediately fall into Point-and Click adventure game territory.

She liked Cryptic Keep more than realMyst and we're kind of burned out on it right now but I'll keep the sequels in mind for the future! Dear Esther is gorgeous but from what I understand is more interactive storytelling without real gameplay, thank you though!

My landlord gave me a game called Starbound that I'm really liking! You make a little pixel avatar from one of the available alien races and run around mining elements on foreign planets and making stuff. You have to really dig down deep to find elements and sometimes even new bosses or crypts or whatever. It's like a cuter, space-themed version of Minecraft.

I actually have that on my wishlist for myself, thanks for the rec!
