Justice League was great. It's worth watching for the character interactions alone. But then you throw in the background women in male dominated sectors (military, police, EMS), and how the writers touched on racism, sexism, the importance of voting and participating in a democracy, and good becomes great. I wish we had more shows like that.

It's a definite favorite of mine (JLU as well).

The character interactions were just the best thing - the rivalry between Hawkgirl and Vixen comes to mind right now. It was, is and will probably always be a rare thing to see two women fight over a man so peacefully and even friendly...to this day it's one of the best love triangles for me because everyone in it was so very likable.

Superman's internal/external fight with himself to do right and not unleash his full potential and hurt anyone (even a villain) was so well written.

Wally's policy concerning the villains in his city was 'try to reason with them and maybe even befriend them if possible'- just whoa~!

Diana's slow realization that maybe not all of mankind was evil and useless was such a beautiful thing to see.

Hawkgirl wasn't a hero nor was she a traitor...she was a person with thoughts and feelings, loyalties and doubts.

J'onn was a lonely survivor of a decimated race who needed to learn how to adapt to a planet full of strange creatures.

...

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm gonna stop now before I start going into tl;dr about everyone in this show. (darn wonderful show where everyone has motivations and backgrounds and in which not every villain is really a one dimensional villain. *grumble*)

P.S: That episode in which the male population fell ill due to Aresia's virus was just such a beautiful nod to what women could do. I loved that they were shown as thriving and on top of the situation throughout anything. <3

Now I want to watch the whole thing all over again. The episode with Aresia was one of my favorites.

Diana's character arc was, in my never humble opinion, the best. I loved how they showed her growth. It really made me love the character.

Hawkgirl was great because she wasn't the stereotyped 'strong female character.' She was flawed. She lied. She started bar fights. She messed up. That's how female characters should be written!

I loved Wally best when he was either pestering Batman, or when he was being serious. The episode where he was trapped in the nightmare where he sped up so fast that he outpaced everyone and ended alone?

There's a lot to love about that show.

Me too, even though I finished rewatching it not even four months ago. *rofl* I just remembered that Wonder Pig episode and now I'm definitely rewatching that first!

Diana flirting shamelessly, Batman lovingly stroking her back as a pig, Zatanna being an awesome lady.

And also this priceless tidbit.

Wannabeast: Hi. Wannabeast. How are ya doin'?
Zatanna: ...my legs are fine. As is the rest of me. Up here?
Wannabeast: Whoa! She's got the fire of the cheetah in her! *purrgrowl*
Zatanna: (to Batman) Why are you doing this to me?

xDDDDD

Diana's was the best because she basically came from a man hating isolated island after having learned, probably for hundreds of years, that men are nothing but filthy beasts. Also from a culture that taught to throw a punch first and ask questions later. (I especially loved the episode with Hawk and Dove. Dove was such a great mentor - not to mention once again that rare 'a man, a superhero at that, seeking peace first and foremost' and all that)

Shayera was a warrior but she wasn't just a warrior. She didn't throw herself into every battle despite coming from a nation of born warriors. She used her brain first. She was tough as nails when needed but she was also a warm, snarkyfriendly person and was actually written as a strong warrior woman instead of a warrior man with breasts. Also totally relatable to me! <3

Wally was just the cutest thing ever. And two dimensional too! He acted goofy without actualy feeling the need to flaunt his scientific knowledge in front of the world. He just didn't care as long as he was having fun! *hugs Wally*

Now you reminded me just HOW much there is to love about this show! The list just goes on and on and on! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3

Netflix, here we come!

I need to watch Young Justice too, although I hear that got cancelled after 2 seasons. :(

I got them via torrent years ago to have and to hold...at least until someone starts selling them in my country. (I don't even think Netflix works here for me? *checks Nope! Not available in my country yet)

I've only heard of Young Justice. Wasn't that the show that got cancelled because the executives didn't want women as an audience?

Eeeeeyup. I just checked and this is the first link that popped up: http://www.uproxx.com/gammasquad/2013/12/paul-dini-opens-up-on-how-networks-are-getting-animation-wrong/

And now I'm going to imitate grumpy cat and hate everything.

If I may butt in here, I ADORED Wally. And the best thing is, my MUM liked Wally.

Remember that episode where Diana and Hawkgirl were still angry at each other so Wally 'accidentally' double-booked a date with them so all of them had lunch together so the ladies could patch things up? Unbeknownst to me my mum had been watching that scene over my shoulder and said, "Why are they both being so mean? He's just trying to be nice."

Wally has my mum's approval. :D

You're mightily invited to join us in our trip to awesome-memory lane!

*ahem

"I had dinner with two women at the same time! Cause I'm a stuuud!"

Wally is an obligatorily-aproved awesome guy. I'd seriously marry that man in a flash. Sense of humor, serious when needed, corny jokes, laid back, puppy-like cuteness levels + brains and looks = what's not to like about the guy? <3

Join the party! Wally is such a nice guy. "We'll play with darts. The soft kind." OK HEART U CAN STOP BEATING NOW. I AM DONE. CANNOT HANDLE THIS RIGHT NOW.

Oh, and I loved the part where Batman tried to teach him how to drive the...was it a spaceship or a plane? Either way, lol no pilot's license for you, Flash.
