Only one, I know a few phrases in a couple of others but I wouldn't be able to hold a conversation, I wasn't terribly good at languages though and we get taught them far too late in my country tbh.

I understand some people have a lot more difficulty with languages than others, but there's not a too late to learn a language. The idea that you can only learn if you start as a small child is a myth I'd like to see gone.

Yes. I know a number of otherwise well educated people who think true language acquisition can only be done at a very young age, but that notion - particularly the critical period hypothesis - was debunked years ago. Adult language learners are actually better at acquiring some elements of the language - like grammar - and tend to learn faster overall. The only clear advantage little kids have is in reproducing sounds like a native speaker; even then sufficiently motivated and practiced adult learners can come to have native pronunciation too.

I did not know that, but thank you for telling me since I bought into that myth as well.

As far as languages go myself I've never had a good aptitude for them, I can learn short phrases and certain words but when it comes to constructing a proper sentence in another language my brain falls all over the place and I just can't seem to figure it out. I'm okay with written stuff though, but my speaking is atrocious.
