Hotel Dusk soundtrack is on Youtube?

Oh, of course it is. I forgot, everything's on the internet.

I don't know why I was even surprised. I go to Youtube to listen to the orchestral Gyakuten Saiban score all the time. And the Professor Layton music box theme.

I still haven't finished playing Hotel Dusk. Stuck half way through. I still have two more Ace Attorney games to get through before next month, and then it'll be three, and they take precedence. Also, Bravely Default happened and that sucked me in too.

The Hotel Dusk art style is very nice though. Aha!

omg don't even get me started on Hotel Dusk. This game is just amazing in every way. I've played it and its sequel so many times it's embarrassing. The art style and the music contribute a lot to the atmosphere too.
Anyway, I hope you eventually get yourself unstuck and play through the rest of the game, because it's awesome.

One thing that is putting me off a bit is the main character, Kyle Hyde. I like how he's drawn but otherwise he's a bit abrasive, though I suppose it makes a change not to have a main character who's a teenage amnesiac. So that's something. He actually has a personality.

So far I really like Louie and I like Melissa, the young girl. I'm hoping for more Louie in the second half of the game.

Though it was bit odd when Kyle went into Melissa's bedroom when her father wasn't there and started blithely playing puzzles with her. I kept waiting for her dad to come back to the room and beat Kyle up for hanging out with his daughter in a locked room like that.

In parts of this game I'm genuinely scared. When I was in Dunning's office and Kyle made a noise and Dunning ran in, arrgh!

Yeah Kyle can be a bit of a jerk, and at times you might be like 'do I really have to do that?? can't you just find another way kyle, because srsly'.
You'll definitely see more of Louie since he's pretty much the only character who thinks that what Kyle's doing is awesome. Melissa has her one story-arc and it's pretty great, if a bit sad. That moment when he goes into her room was so cringeworthy though, I agree. I don't think her dad ever finds out about it, as far as I remember.
Oh man, if you thought that moment was scary, wait until the very end of the game. I was so stressed out and anxious, I was sweating!

Once you get Louie on side, he really loves Kyle, doesn't he? That's what makes Louie so endearing. There's the woman on the phone back in the office who obviously supposed to be Kyle's love interest, but the dynamics between Louie and Kyle, and the secret about Kyle's old partner are what were pulling me through the game.

I thought I'd also find the young man (Angel?) intriguing but his plot points were suddenly signalled a mile off so I lost interest in him.

I did like that they've made up a completely fictional artist for the game, and I was so convinced that he was real that I googled him and was surprised. That's a job well done.

The 'bad' endings were hilarious the first time I got them. That's always good in a game, when the failing is also entertaining.
