Re: Favorite female characters!
You are probably going to keep feeling that way. I finished the series thinking Claus and Lavie would have been great side characters, but making them the protagonist was a mistake for the people who made Last Exile.
A lot of people didn't like the sequel, Fam the Silverwing, I loved it though. Fam is similar to Claus, but She does a lot better as a "main character" to me.
