Re: Looking for audiobook recommendations

I've only really heard ones that are read by a single person, but would definitely give the other type a go! Part of what I like about the RD ones is that he's so good at giving each character an individual voice, so I can only guess that an audiobook with a full cast would be even more awesome (:

Sorry for the late reply.

Well, there's the official Full Cast Audio website, and while they tend to do children's/young adult books, they've done a couple that I really liked, including the Emelan books by Tamora Pierce, and the Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede, (which is super great in the third book, because Morwen as nine cats, and as Morwen is the POV character, she can understand them, so you have nine cats with individual voices/personalities, and it is awesome), they also did the WIld Magic quartet (another by Tamora Pierce) full-cast-audio-y, but none of her other Tortall books I don't think. Maybe poke around there some?

As for non-full cast, I just finished the book Night Watch by Terry Pratchett as an audio book, and thought it was rather good. Apparently there are some other Discworld books that were done with full cast? I'll need to look into that to see if it's legit, |D Before that I had listened to the Pacific Rim audio book, which was interesting- and Gottlieb had the right accent- which was a giant plus for me, but it was kind of weird in parts, when it came to official reports. Not bad, but not my favorite.

There's a World War Z audiobook that has a full cast, and it's pretty good; they even got Mark Hamill, which made me smile, but it's also an abridged audiobook, and they cut one of my favorite stories, so I'm on the fence about that one. >_>;

I've heard good things about Graphic Audio, but I haven't personally listened to anything by them, so I don't know for sure it they're any good, but maybe take a look, and see if any books you like are in there?
