I really, really get this. I recently made a secret like this about a professor I have and how she looks/acts like an actress I don't like. (Seriously, she's so cute, I pretend to be engrossed in my notes so I don't spend the whole class smiling at her.)

The thing is he's kind of the 'really cool uncle you love to hang out with'-type whose smart as hell with a WONDERFUL personality. He's in his early 40's, but I have to admit, if I was a bit older and he was a bit younger, (and not married) I would be on that like white on rice.

I'm also 17, which technically above the age of consent where I live, but it still makes me feel a bit weird about it.
It's not exactly a 'HOT COLLEGE PROFESSOR' situation...

I'm pretty sure that's half of all Coulson pairing fic right there.

Somewhat paternalistic (in a good, affectionate way rather than a condescending way), but mostly just an older friend type, one who isn't conventionally attractive but still handsome, and yeah, wonderful personality. (Hell, I'm pretty sure that's the bulk of the reasoning/motivation behind the Clint/Coulson pairing alone).

And meh, I've heard of and seen far more inappropriate fantasies than this. As long as you keep it a fantasy, enjoy the living daylights out of it! You'd hardly be the first teenager with the hots for your teacher, or a teacher-like fictional character. There's a reason I was so selective with a recent history class of mine...

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to have a crush on an authority figure who you think is handsome and you admire for being smart. I think that's honestly just what people do. Handsome and smart! In authority! Come on, it's normal.
