Movies you saw just for an actor

So I decided I'm going to see Pompeii. I know its going to be awful. The trailer made it look like Titanic with a volcano instead of a shipwreck and a lot more action. But still, Kit Harington half naked in it. I firmly admit to being shallow and wanting to see it for that.

Has anyone else gone to see a movie they knew would be awful just for a particular actor or actress?

I saw Prometheus for the sole reason that Sean Harris was in it. I even made a secret about it.

Half naked Kit Harrington is a good reason to see a movie.

I used to do actor marathons. It usually started by accident - saw a film I enjoyed which reminded me of this other film with same actor I wanted to watch, then going on netflix looking up that actor's other roles. Which inevitably leads to some awful films being watched solely for that one actor.

I would just like for once, for once, there to be a movie about a disaster that's actually about the disaster, not everyone's sex lives. There can be sex and romance and all that, but that's not really the... point.

All the Michael Fassbender movies. Including Jonah Hex. All the Karl Urban movies including Priest.

Movies, no. But Mark Sheppard and Natalie Morales have been my tipping point for more than one TV show I wasn't otherwise planning to watch.

I can watch anything Hugh Jackman is in except Australia or The Fountain. The gif of him from Australia pouring water over himself works perfectly in place of the actual movie.

I went to see Snow White and the Hunstman for Hemsworth and Theron, which wasn't great but I didn't hate it. If nothing else I loved the outfits.

And Limitless for Bradley Cooper, which wasn't that bad really even if it was based around bullshit science.

That demon movie with Karl Urban (it was TERRIBLE but he was so hot D:). Van Helsing because of Hugh Jackman (saw it in theaters 6 times >_>), probably others, like Doom for obvious reasons, but I'm drawing a blank now.

I watched Dracula 2000 just for Jeri Ryan. I liked it more than I thought I would, but I thought that she and the other vampire brides should have lived, killed Dracula themselves, convinced Mary to join their side and then offed the male lead, 'cause he was bland and boring. After that was done, they could all fight crime probably commit a lot of crimes in-between bouts of hilarious airborne sex.

I saw The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel for the cast (well, most of the cast) and I saw Quartet pretty much just for Maggie Smith and Billy Connolly. Quartet was kind of a disappointment. For movies with old British people, Marigold is where it's at.

I pretty much just watched Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters for Jeremy Renner. The only reason I'm considering watching Rush is lots of Chris Hemsworth. And apparently Chris Evans and ScarJo have done some other movies together in their teens/acting as teens, so I might watch those...

The Oranges was god awful. I watched it just because I adore Hugh Laurie.
