Pretty much the only good parts where the Thor/Loki brother stuff and Frigga kicking ass. The plot was wtf and convoluted sci-fantasy bs and the Earth stuff was boring as shit. Jane is the worst and her and Thor have zero chemistry. I was getting episode 2 "I hate the sand" flashbacks during some of their "romance" scenes. Anyway, it wasn't that great.

I loved the movie but I would have enjoyed it 30 times more if Darcy had not been in it.

Nope, not just you. She was so fucking annoying in Thor 2. Every line out of her mouth was some "witty/funny" one liner.

Huh. No disrespect, but that's the most confusing opinion about this movie I've yet heard. Darcy totally made it, for me. I honestly hadn't realized there were folks who considered her a drag on the movie. Live and learn.

She was annoying. All she did was spout out "funny" one line jokes. The first 1-2 were fine. But after like the tenth, every time she said something my sis and I would both roll our eyes and groan.

Well it would have helped if she hadn't treated the intern's intern like a piece of furniture for the majority of the film. It certainly did not endear her to me.

Like, I keep hearing what a great comedy actress Dennings is supposed to be, but her stuff in Thor 2 was awful.

She's amazingly annoying. She's supposed to be "funny" and "clever" and she's neither. I hate her like I rarely hate any character.

see I liked her a lot in Thor. Haven't seen TDW yet, but everyone says she's awful and that makes me sad :( she was one of my favorite things about Thor, and I want to still like her

She seemed pretty much the same in TDW to me. (I liked her, btw.)

I love Jane by herself. But, even though it was better here than in the first movie, their romance is so blah.

I enjoyed the film a lot, mostly everything that wasn't on earth(can we stop going back to earth in Thor movies please?), but I'll agree that the Thor and Loki scenes were the best bits. I'm rather fond of Jane though and while I'm a bit 'meh' towards the Thor/Jane romance I personally don't think it's that bad either.

I don't hate it, but I'm just not interested in his romance with Jane at all. I don't really hate Jane either, it's just that she comes with Darcy and I really don't like her.

Ahh, yeah I can understand that since they share a lot of screen-time together. Darcy doesn't bother me really(I just don't love her like fandom does) but I can see why she could grate on someone.

I definitely agree that the Thor movies need to stay off of Earth. Jane can come along to Asgard, I don't mind her, but the Earth bits drag down the rest of the movie, IMO. The Thor movies give us a unique opportunity to explore the rest of the Nine Realms and see shiny sparkly Asgard stuff... why do we want do drive around in Jane's van and listen to Darcy say things she thinks are cute?

I didn't mind the Earth bits in the first Thor film as they were part of Thor's journey, but in Thor 2 I honestly got sick of how many times they kept going back to Earth, like I really, really didn't care(especially with Jane not being on earth). I want to see more of the realms.
