I have the completely irrational idea that if alien abductions actually happen, and the aliens come for me somehow my cats will protect me. My cat's can't even kill bugs. They all flee in terror every time I have a visitor, but I honestly think if the aliens are real and show up here, my cats will slaughter them like they are made of tuna, and cat nip. This is made even more stupid by me really, really thinking the idea of alien abduction is bullshit, but I just can't banish that last tiny if from my imagination.

I really don't understand my own thought process at times.

Gnomes beat Cats

Well people in ancient times believed cats were the guardians of the Underworld and would protect them from evil, so I suppose if it's an irrational belief, it's a very old and venerable one.

I'm 100% convinced that my catfish can eat monsters and ghosts despite not really believing in those, so you're in good company.
