Yeah, but the only reason to talk about a scale with others is to agree on a communal one. The scale being a personal individual thing doesn't make sense if it's being talked about.

People talk about their personal opinions all the time though?

"He's a 5." "What no he is definitely no less than a 9.8."

"Oranges suck." "No they are delicious."

"I believe in God this way." "Well I believe in God this other way so prepare for war."

You can have a personal scale and recognize that while understanding the general concept of 10 being most attractive, 1 being least.

Like if I say that person is a 9, my friend might not agree but they understand what I'm saying.

So yeah. Individual personal scale but a communal concept.
