Oh my god, a Heather Dale secret!

I like her songs, lyrics and all. They're songs that tell stories, and that's hard to find these days, even in the SCA.

A Heather Dale secret! I like some of her songs including the lyrics, but others are pretty terrible. The Greyhound and Medusa are solid.

Man, I love her lyrics. I'm on board with just about any singer who tells actual stories instead of just spouting generic nonsense about love or loss or what have you.

But hey, to each their own. I'll listen to Heather Dale, and you listen to whoever you like.

Awwww I like her songs, though I haven't listen to that album. Personally my faves are Smith's Circle, The Greyhound, Pierre and Maryanne and The Maiden and the Selkie, and I don't think the lyrics are "try hard" in those...

I love a lot of her songs (especially the Call the Names album because even hough I don't even know the context for it, it's worldbuilding in songs and that's cool) but I think the lyrics are sometimes a bit too contrived. But that happens with this kind of music pretty often and I really think she is definitely not one of the worst offenders?
I'm not always 100% fond of her voice, though, but that's personal taste.

Culhwch and Olwen is a lot of fun to sing, too.
