Haha, I know right? The waiting is what kills me. I don't mind the rejection, it just gives me that nudge to keep trying, but I hate the wait between the submission due date and the response date. D:

My favorite is when the response date passes and they didn't send me a notice. I got a rejection a month later was all, :/ Kinda figured it out a while back...

Ugh that happened to a friend a few months back. Turns out there were over 90 submissions for that anthology and they did choose hers, but they responded almost a week and a half after the supposed response date which made her think she'd been rejected.
