There are no rape jokes. Not a single scene when someone said or implied that raping or being raped is funny or a situation where a rape was used as a comedy. In fact, the rape scenes the show has are disgusting, creepy and repulsive and depicted as something very wrong. There are some ogling jokes, though. Learn the difference.

It's pretty offensive that you people call everything rape. Rape is only rape, that is, putting a part of person A inside person B's body without person B's consent.

Person A can also force parts of person B inside of themselves without person B's consent. Person A can also force surface contact without person B's consent.

Sex is not just penetration, and it's also not just penetration in one direction. If sex is happening without the consent of one of the parties, then it's rape.

Come on now, I enjoy the the show, but Uzu's treatment of Takarada was clearly an example of rape as comedy. Unless you think repeatedly forcing a wooden sword up someone's ass isn't rape, in which case...yikes, you're scary. The fact that comedy writers don't see why it's wrong (I seem to recall similar things happening in Naruto and DBZ, for example) doesn't mean that it's 'okay,' it just means that some writers a) have a narrow definition of sexual assault and b) think make on male sexual assault is funny.

I'm not so sure that those scenes are supposed to be rape jokes. Those scenes are probably just kanchos, it's just a joke about inserting your fingers into someone's anus but it doesn't have any sexual connotations.

This Kancho thing in my opinion is sexual assault and it's absolutely disgusting and creepy, but it seems that Japanese people have different social values and they don't see it as rape. They are weird people. So as disgusting as it is for western people, don't judge those writers, it's not their fault. Blame Japanese society instead for being creepy weirdos.

I think the rape scenes are important. I used to think that Ragyo was awesome, she was a sexy confident woman with a great theme song. But then the molestation happened. Now every time I see her groping Satsuki my hate grows more and more.
